Artist's Statement

"I graduated from the Maryland Institute in art education in 1973, but have always loved to draw and started painting in oils in 1980.  Since then, I have shown my work in Richmond and Washington, Virginia, and in Key West, Florida.  I have been sailing in Deltaville since the 1980's. 

My lithographs are mostly of boats and racing.  In 2005, I earned a masters in art education and am currently teaching art history at Virginia Union University.  I also love wild flowers and have started doing pen and inks of wildflowers as I take my walks around Deltaville."
